Tied hands
shut mouth
teeth grinding
fist clenching

want to pull my hair
want to kick and yell
Unable to do what I damn well please
Feeling a bit frustrated in DEED

Dealing with factors beyond your control

Feeling flushed, heat is rising
exasperation, annoyance
anger, disappointment
building up inside me
a perfect storm stirring up
a time ticking BOOM
waiting to go off

Before the final detonation

3 trick I practice that may help you out:

– Breathe
Before you can act out of anger count from 1 to 10
while taking a deep cleansing breath

– Get some fresh air
Step outside, walk around and reset

-Manage your expectations
a hard one I know, but so true
Do not expect people to
act in a manner that should please you.

Always remember, “People’s behavior have nothing to do with you,
so don’t take it personal.”

About Sassy Pen

My passion is to share life experiences, some my own others borrowed, with those who take an interest in reading my stories, poems or just my words. I am in love with life. I savor every moment because I live the present; the past is yesterday and the future is uncertain. The present is the only time we have to make a difference.

Hi Sassy Pen, I picked this page and how perfect for me as I’ve had a busy somewhat frustrating day. I work part-time as a nurse and full-time as an artist. Your advice is great! I bring most of my days to a close by writing a haiku and doing some art. It brings me lots of peace and helps me refocus my energy into something positive. Looks you have found a similar outlet here. Thank you for visiting the Art Prescription! Cheers, Beverly Dyer

Hi Beverly, So happy you stopped by my page and so glad that my words can help to release some of the stress we all face each day! We have to always try to see the brighter side of things, and through any from of art ( whatever that might be for you) we can inject back the strength we need to shake negativity off and start anew! Besos, Dani
